Grand Theft Auto Advance is an exclusive open-world action-adventure game developed by Digital Eclipse and published by Rockstar Games in 2004 for the Game Boy Advance. As the only official GTA title released for GBA, it serves as the canonical prequel to Grand Theft Auto III, set one year before the events of GTA III and supplementing the early gang power pattern of Liberty City.
