The King of Fighters EX2: Howling Blood

The King of Fighters EX2: Howling Blood is a fighting game developed by Marvelous Entertainment and published by Atlus for Game Boy Advance in 2003, the sequel to The King of Fighters EX: Neo Blood. It is based on The King of Fighters 2000 with an alternate original storyline. The tournament is hosted by Gustav, who plots to revive the power of Goenitz. Kyo, Iori and other fighters join the competition to uncover his conspiracy. It retains the classic 3-on-3 team battle and revised Striker assist system, plus a new Judge System. Players fill the gauge by match performance to unlock Master Mode, allowing unlimited supers with energy cost. There are 21 playable characters, including Kyo Kusanagi, Iori Yagami, Mai Shiranui, K', and three exclusive original fighters: Reiji Okami, Miu Kurosaki, and Jun Kagami. It features original 4-button layout plus simplified 2-button controls for beginners, remixed stages and BGM from KOF2000, and 2-player versus mode. It is widely regarded as one of the best portable KOF titles on GBA.
