About this game

Double Dragon (Neo-Geo) is a 1-on-1 fighting game developed by Technos Japan and released in 1995 for Neo Geo MVS and AES hardware. Based on the 1994 live-action Double Dragon movie, it is a spin-off fighting title and the final Double Dragon game made by Technos. There are 10 playable characters including classic heroes Billy Lee, Jimmy Lee, Marian and Abobo, plus original fighters and secret bosses. It uses a unique 4-button attack system without separate punch and kick buttons; attacks change between punches and kicks based on character posture. The game features a special Charge Meter, which fills faster when the character has low HP. Fully charged meter enables powerful charge moves and dragon transformation, plus destructible battle stages. Set in Bloody Town, warriors join a martial tournament to defeat the crime lord Koga Shuko. It features smooth 2D pixel graphics and fast-paced combat, later ported to Neo Geo CD and PlayStation, standing as a distinctive retro fighting game on Neo Geo.

Controls

These are the default keys. Every arcade board has a different number of buttons and means different things by them. The rows above are buttons 1–6 on the board: on Neo Geo boards (The King of Fighters and friends) A/B/C/D are buttons 1–4, Metal Slug uses only 1, 2 and 4 (shoot / jump / grenade), and Pac-Man uses none at all. Six-button fighters with three punches and three kicks (Street Fighter II and the like) get a different layout from the core: light punch U, medium punch I, heavy punch Q, light kick J, medium kick K, heavy kick E. Click the gamepad icon 🎮 in the player toolbar, then “Remap keys” to open the emulator’s own control settings (keyboard and gamepad, saved automatically). Gamepads are detected automatically. On phones you get on-screen buttons.
