About this game
Knights of the Round is a classic side-scrolling beat 'em up arcade game developed and published by Capcom in 1991 on CPS1 hardware, loosely based on the legend of King Arthur and the Knights of the Round Table. It supports up to 3-player co-op. Players can choose 3 playable heroes: King Arthur (balanced), Lancelot (fast and agile), and Perceval (high attack power). It features RPG-style leveling system. Earn points by defeating enemies to level up, and your character’s armor and weapon will visually upgrade. The signature block-and-counter combat system is the core gameplay. Block enemy attacks with precise timing to launch counterattacks. Players can also ride horses in battle and use desperation attacks. There are seven stages with unique bosses. Break crates and treasure chests to collect food for HP recovery and items. With detailed medieval pixel graphics and memorable soundtrack, it is one of Capcom’s iconic arcade beat 'em ups and fully supported by MAME emulator.

Controls
These are the default keys. Every arcade board has a different number of buttons and means different things by them. The rows above are buttons 1–6 on the board: on Neo Geo boards (The King of Fighters and friends) A/B/C/D are buttons 1–4, Metal Slug uses only 1, 2 and 4 (shoot / jump / grenade), and Pac-Man uses none at all. Six-button fighters with three punches and three kicks (Street Fighter II and the like) get a different layout from the core: light punch U, medium punch I, heavy punch Q, light kick J, medium kick K, heavy kick E. Click the gamepad icon 🎮 in the player toolbar, then “Remap keys” to open the emulator’s own control settings (keyboard and gamepad, saved automatically). Gamepads are detected automatically. On phones you get on-screen buttons.
