THE KING OF FIGHTERS WING is a fan-made 2D fighting Flash game developed by FlashWing Studio, first released in 2007, widely known as one of the best Flash fighting games. It is not an official SNK title. The roster crosses multiple fighting franchises including KOF, Street Fighter and Samurai Shodown, featuring Kyo, Iori, Mai, Ryu, Haohmaru and more. It has two input modes: Simple Mode lets players unleash special moves with single buttons for beginners, while Standard Mode uses traditional command inputs for combos, max mode and super specials. It supports single-player story against CPU and local two-player versus, with multiple difficulty levels. The series evolved from version 0.9 to 1.9, followed by the EX series with extra characters, alternate character forms and enhanced visual effects. It was extremely popular on Chinese web game portals.

These games get the keyboard directly — the controls are whatever the game itself defines, usually in its own help or options screen. Some games show on-screen buttons on phones.
