About this game

Vampire Hunter 2 - Darkstalkers' Revenge is a 2D gothic fighting game released by Capcom in 1997 on CPS2 arcade hardware, exclusively launched in Japan. It is a revised spin-off entry of the Darkstalkers franchise built on the Vampire Savior game engine. The playable roster reverts to the cast from Vampire Hunter, featuring Morrigan, Demitri, Felicia, Donovan, Hsien-Ko and other classic monsters, while cutting Jedah and Q-Bee from Vampire Savior. The story takes place inside Majigen, a pocket demon dimension. Pyron awakens the Darkstalkers. Vampire hunter Donovan and Chinese ghost Hsien-Ko embark on a mission to hunt down all dark creatures. It retains the 6-button fighting layout, air guard, chain combos and super meter for special moves. BGM and character endings are remade; secret endings are removed, each fighter now has only one fixed ending with rebalanced gameplay. Boasting gorgeous hand-drawn gothic pixel sprite animations, it maintains the series' signature monster fighting style. It is a rare and sought-after arcade title among Darkstalkers collectors.

Click the gamepad icon 🎮 in the player toolbar, then “Remap keys” to open the emulator’s own control settings (keyboard and gamepad, saved automatically). Gamepads are detected automatically.
