About this game

Tomb Raider (original 1996 title) is a third-person action-adventure game developed by Core Design and published by Eidos Interactive for DOS, PlayStation and Saturn. Players control the explorer Lara Croft, who is commissioned to seek the ancient artifact Scion in Peru. She travels through tombs and ancient temples, fighting wild animals and hostile enemies. The game pioneered fully 3D polygon characters and environments. Gameplay features jumping, climbing, swimming, puzzle-solving and gun combat. Levels are filled with traps, secret chambers and ancient riddles. Lara Croft quickly became one of the most iconic female protagonists in video game history, and the original game established the foundation for the whole Tomb Raider franchise.
