About this game

Submachine Zero: Ancient Adventure (also known as Submachine 0) is a short Flash point-and-click puzzle browser game created by Polish indie developer Mateusz Skutnik, released in August 2006. It was originally made for a game contest and numbered as Submachine 0, a spin-off title that **has no connection to the main Submachine storyline**. Players venture deep inside an ancient stone tomb, explore dim stone chambers, seek the treasure sealed deep within the ruin and find a way to escape. Navigate scenes with mouse clicks, collect inventory items such as keys and tools, interact with stone gates, statues and ancient mechanisms, and solve environmental symbol puzzles. It uses the series' signature hand-sketched art style and quiet mysterious tomb atmosphere. The playthrough is short with relatively easy puzzles. It is an early experimental work of Mateusz, laying the foundation for the art style of later Submachine games, and later included in the Submachine collection.
