Submachine Universe
About this game
Submachine Universe is a special point-and-click puzzle browser work created by Polish indie developer Mateusz Skutnik, released in 2010. It is known as one of the first MSO (Massively Singleplayer Online) exploration projects and serves as a huge spin-off universe collection for the Submachine series, not part of the main storyline. It ended online web updates in 2017 and became a free HD downloadable version, with its story fully completed in the same year. Players travel freely inside the enormous Subnet network. The spaces include many classic locations from main games, brand-new areas, and altered variant rooms that look familiar yet different. Navigate scenes by mouse clicks, collect inventory items, operate portal terminals and machinery, solve symbol and coordinate puzzles, and read scattered documents and theoretical notes to uncover massive lore of the Submachine universe. It retains the signature hand-sketched art style and deep, lonely sci-fi suspense atmosphere. This game features an extremely vast map with tons of hidden rooms and secrets, connecting story fragments and foreshadowing from the whole franchise.
