Submachine 8: The Plan
About this game
Submachine 8: The Plan is a Flash point-and-click puzzle browser game created by Polish indie developer Mateusz Skutnik, released on September 28, 2012. It is the eighth installment of the Submachine series. Following the story of Submachine 7: The Core, the player travels through karma portals to leave the Core and enters brand new multi-layered spaces of the Subnet. This game introduces the core mechanic of **seven reality layers**. Seven parallel dimensions occupy the same physical location. Players use a navigator device to shift between layers, and many puzzles require cross-layer interaction to solve. Navigate scenes with mouse clicks, collect inventory items such as metal bars, keys and the navigator, operate beam emitters, locks and teleport machines. Read dialogues and notes to uncover the grand plan made by Murtaugh and Elizabeth. It retains hand-sketched art style and deep lonely sci-fi atmosphere with intricately overlapping spaces and hidden collectibles, packed with story hints. It is remastered and included in Submachine: Legacy collection.
