About this game
Star Mahjong (Ming Xing San Que Yi) is a classic mahjong card game developed by IGS (International Games System) from Taiwan. The original PC version launched in 2002, followed by web and mobile releases. Centered on Chinese and Taiwanese 16-tile mahjong rules, its biggest feature is cartoon Q-version celebrity characters including Jacky Wu, Dee Hsu, Eric Tsang, Cecilia Cheung, with professionally recorded funny voice lines and expressive animations triggered when players chow, pong, kong or win hands. Players can battle against AI in single-player mode or join online multiplayer matches. It supports both 13-tile and 16-tile mahjong variants, customizable base bets and minimum win conditions. Rank promotion and tournament systems are available, and characters show vivid reactions during matches. As one of the most famous nostalgic mahjong games in Chinese-speaking regions, the original PC version was hugely popular. It was later ported to Flash web, J2ME feature phones and mobile devices, remembered as a classic mahjong title for many players.

Controls
These are the default keys. Every arcade board has a different number of buttons and means different things by them. The rows above are buttons 1–6 on the board: on Neo Geo boards (The King of Fighters and friends) A/B/C/D are buttons 1–4, Metal Slug uses only 1, 2 and 4 (shoot / jump / grenade), and Pac-Man uses none at all. Six-button fighters with three punches and three kicks (Street Fighter II and the like) get a different layout from the core: light punch U, medium punch I, heavy punch Q, light kick J, medium kick K, heavy kick E. Click the gamepad icon 🎮 in the player toolbar, then “Remap keys” to open the emulator’s own control settings (keyboard and gamepad, saved automatically). Gamepads are detected automatically. On phones you get on-screen buttons.
