About this game
Snow Bros. - Nick & Tom is an arcade platform action game developed by Toaplan and released in 1990. Set in Snow Land, the evil fire king curses two princes Nick and Tom into snowmen and kidnaps two princesses. The brothers embark on an adventure to rescue them. The core gameplay is to throw snowballs to trap monsters, then kick the snowball to roll and crush other enemies for combo bonus points. There are 50 stages total, with a boss fight every 10 levels. Four potion power-ups are available: yellow for longer snow shot range, red for speed boost, blue for faster snow wrapping, green for balloon floating. If players take too long to finish a stage, an invincible pumpkin boss appears and summons unkillable ghosts to push players forward. It supports 2-player co-op. Featuring cute cartoon pixel art and cheerful soundtrack, it was later ported to FC, MD and other platforms, a famous casual classic from the arcade golden age.

Controls
These are the default keys. Every arcade board has a different number of buttons and means different things by them. The rows above are buttons 1–6 on the board: on Neo Geo boards (The King of Fighters and friends) A/B/C/D are buttons 1–4, Metal Slug uses only 1, 2 and 4 (shoot / jump / grenade), and Pac-Man uses none at all. Six-button fighters with three punches and three kicks (Street Fighter II and the like) get a different layout from the core: light punch U, medium punch I, heavy punch Q, light kick J, medium kick K, heavy kick E. Click the gamepad icon 🎮 in the player toolbar, then “Remap keys” to open the emulator’s own control settings (keyboard and gamepad, saved automatically). Gamepads are detected automatically. On phones you get on-screen buttons.
