About this game
Sheng Huo Lie Zhuan is a Chinese wuxia turn-based RPG developed by Chuan Wei Information and released for NES in 1991. Set at the end of Yuan Dynasty, players take the role of the young leader of the Holy Flame Society. The quest is to gather scattered followers and martial arts masters to restore the sect and overthrow the Yuan regime. It features a semi-open world map, martial arts leveling, item system and food consumption mechanics. Its unusual control scheme often leads to the famous line "Young Lord Dying", making it a memorable early Chinese RPG on FC. The same developer also created Feng Shen Bang.
