Jing Ke Xin Zhuan

Jing Ke Xin Zhuan is a Chinese turn-based RPG released for Famicom/FC in 1992 by SUPERTone. Based on the ancient historical story of Jing Ke's assassination attempt on King Qin. Players start as Crown Prince Dan of Yan, escape from Xianyang, then switch to Ju Wu, Tian Guang, and finally Jing Ke. Players prepare for the assassination: obtain Fan Yuqi’s head, get the poisoned dagger, recruit Qin Wuyang and travel to Xianyang Palace. Its most famous feature is pitch-black cave dungeons with tiny vision radius and high random encounter rate, regarded as a tough retro classic by old players. It uses classic random encounter turn-based combat with martial arts skills and equipment system. Fully traditional Chinese, it belongs to the famous Chinese FC RPG cartridge series alongside Sheng Huo Lie Zhuan and Feng Shen Bang.
