About this game

IF2, known to Chinese retro players as Ai Zhi Wu Yu 2, is the direct sequel to IF. Developed by Active Software and published by Ton Ton Nerw Information in 1993, it released on DOS, PC-98 and FM Towns platforms. It is a first-person visual novel adventure game. It includes three standalone scenarios numbered Episode 5, 6 and 7. The plots have no connections to each other or the previous game. Themes cover workplace romance and school love, and the 7th scenario features a female playable protagonist. It inherits the choice-driven branching story system of the first title. The game uses 256-color DOS pixel graphics and anime character portraits, presented with static illustrations and text paragraphs. It adds more dialogue branches and richer text content. Distributed together with IF 1 on vintage DOS game compilation CDs, it is a well-known old bishoujo visual novel for DOS and playable via DOSBox emulation.
