About this game

IF3, known among Chinese retro players as Ai Zhi Wu Yu 3, is the third visual novel adventure of the IF series. Developed by Active Software and published in Taiwan by Ton Ton Nerw in 1995. It was released on DOS, PC-98, FM Towns and X68000 platforms. Following the series tradition, IF3 consists of three standalone scenarios accessible directly from the main menu, with no story connections between episodes. The first story Will for Suicide features psychological and supernatural themes, playable as either male or female protagonist. The second tale Like a Magic Woman follows a young woman who gains shape-shifting magic after a traffic accident. The third episode takes place in a fictional American city named Autumn City with urban adventure themes. Gameplay relies on text reading and branching dialogue choices to unlock multiple endings. It uses 256-color pixel anime CG artwork, static character portraits and text storytelling. The soundtrack is upgraded compared with IF 1 and IF2. It is a famous classic bishoujo adventure of the PC98/DOS era and can be emulated via DOSBox.
