About this game

Fire Emblem: The Sacred Stones is a tactical role-playing game developed by Intelligent Systems and published by Nintendo for Game Boy Advance in 2004. It is the eighth entry in the Fire Emblem series, and the third and final Fire Emblem title on GBA handheld. The story takes place on the continent of Magvel. Five sacred stones sealed the ancient Demon King and brought 800 years of peace, until the Grado Empire suddenly invades the kingdom of Renais. Players pick between royal siblings Princess Eirika or Prince Ephraim to start two separate story branches with unique maps and narratives, which eventually converge to uncover the truth behind the war. It uses turn-based grid tactical combat, retaining classic Fire Emblem mechanics including permanent character death, weapon triangle system and support conversations. Units can choose different promotion paths upon level up. The free world map allows players to travel back to towns for shopping and preparation. Optional dungeons Tower of Valni and Lagdou Ruins offer unlimited battles for extra character grinding. It features refined pixel art and beautiful character portraits, with accessible difficulty, widely regarded as a classic entry point for new Fire Emblem players.
