Final Fantasy III
About this game
Final Fantasy III is a classic turn-based RPG developed by Square and released for Famicom in 1990, a milestone entry in the Final Fantasy franchise. The story follows four orphans from the village of Ur, chosen by the Wind Crystal as Warriors of Light. They embark on an adventure to restore balance between light and dark worlds and defeat the Cloud of Darkness. This game introduced the iconic **Job System**, featuring 22 jobs including Onion Knight, Dragoon, Ninja and Sage. Players can freely change classes with capacity points earned in battle. Summon beasts such as Ifrit, Shiva and Bahamut debut in this title. It uses random turn-based combat, with a huge floating continent and intricate dungeons. The original Famicom version launched only in Japan; a full 3D remake was later released for Nintendo DS. It is regarded as one of the greatest 8-bit RPGs.
