Cube Escape: Theatre
About this game
Cube Escape: Theatre is a point-and-click puzzle adventure game developed by Dutch studio Rusty Lake. It is the eighth installment of the Cube Escape series, released on April 11, 2016. It originally launched as a free web game and later ported to Android and iOS. Set in 1972, players take the role of detective Dale Vandermeer and enter a mind theatre of Rusty Lake. Mr. Owl presents six eerie plays, and players must complete all performances to continue exploring memories. Explore the bar and stage inside the theatre, collect and combine items, solve chained puzzles including cocktail mixing, piano riddles and symbol mirrors. Interact with Bob, Mr. Crow, Harvey the parrot and other classic characters, uncover the tragic story between Laura and Bob, and extract black memory cubes. It keeps the series signature hand-drawn dark surreal art style, full of metaphors, foreshadowing and fragmented storytelling. Puzzles connect the lore of the entire Rusty Lake universe with minor jump scares. It is a vital chapter in the main Rusty Lake storyline.
