About this game

Cube Escape: The Lake is a point-and-click escape puzzle game developed by Dutch studio Rusty Lake. It is the second entry in the Cube Escape series, released in 2015, originally launched as a free web game and later ported to mobile devices. Set in 1969, Laura travels to Rusty Lake for vacation and discovers an abandoned cabin on a small island in the lake. Inside the cabin, there are only fishing gear, a knife and a crowbar. Players explore the cabin, collect items, assemble fishing rods to catch shrimp, fish and shells to uncover hidden objects and solve environmental puzzles. The game features a normal ending and a true ending. The true ending requires a secret code from the previous title Cube Escape: Seasons, laying vital lore hints about shadow figures and the secrets of Rusty Lake. It adopts the series’ retro hand-drawn dark art style with eerie atmosphere. Fully controlled by mouse clicks, it is a short classic introductory puzzle game for new players of the Rusty Lake universe.
