Bomberman
About this game
Bomberman (FC) is a classic action maze game developed and published by Hudson Soft, released for Famicom / NES in 1985, the foundation title of the Bomberman series. Players control the Bomberman robot inside underground labyrinths, placing cross-shaped bombs to blow up destructible brick walls and eliminate monsters, then find the hidden exit under bricks to clear each stage. There are various power-ups in stages, which allow players to place more bombs, expand blast radius, walk through walls and boost movement speed. The controls are easy to learn yet tactical; players may get killed by their own bombs if mispositioned. The game has 50 stages with increasingly difficult enemies, and supports password save system to resume progress. It features simple pixel graphics and catchy background music. It is a famous nostalgic game for Famicom players and the origin of later Bomberman battle mode.
