The Legend of Sword and Fairy for GBA is a fan-made port instead of an official release from Softstar. It is ported from the original DOS version of the classic Chinese Xianxia RPG. The game keeps the full main story of Li Xiaoyao, Zhao Ling'er and Lin Yueru with the core theme of fate. It retains turn-based combat, item collection, dungeon exploration and spell upgrading. Graphics are compressed to fit GBA screen and memory, and original background music is preserved. Some animations and visual effects are cut due to hardware limits. It is a well-known homebrew port among retro game fans.
