Players select pre‑made sim characters, manage basic life needs, earn income from jobs, build social bonds, romance and decorate houses, and fulfill personal wishes. Short‑form mini‑tasks are designed for quick mobile play sessions. The special connected edition supports cross‑platform linkage with PC The Sims 2, allowing sim import, item trading and SMS‑driven NPC interaction, while the standalone version lacks those features. Constrained by J2ME hardware, full CAS character creation is absent and house customization is limited. Originally released in English only with no official Chinese localization. Fan‑translated Chinese JAR builds circulate domestically and are playable via Java emulators, marking an early landmark life‑sim release on feature phones.
