FIFA Soccer 96
About this game
FIFA Soccer 96 is a football simulation game released by EA Sports on September 30, 1995, the third main entry in the FIFA series. It introduced the groundbreaking "Virtual Stadium" engine for PlayStation, Sega Saturn and DOS/PC versions, bringing real-time 3D stadium graphics and rotatable camera angles. It was the first FIFA title licensed by FIFPro to use real player names and positions, with built-in player and team editor for roster customization. It featured 12 leagues and over 3000 players, including league, tournament and multiplayer modes. The 16-bit console versions (SNES, Mega Drive, Game Boy) kept the classic 2D isometric engine, visually different from the 32-bit releases.
