Asphalt: Urban GT 2 is Gameloft’s arcade street‑racing title released November 30, 2005 for J2ME, N‑Gage, NDS and PSP. The J2ME build uses 2.5D graphics with multi‑resolution variants for keypad‑based Java feature phones. It refines the core arcade racing formula of the franchise. Players build nitro gauge via drifting, aerial stunts and takedown collisions, with double‑nitro burst for high‑speed sprint. The iconic wanted police‑pursuit system debuts here: reckless driving raises wanted level, triggering police cars, roadblocks and helicopter interception, and getting busted terminates the race. Championship career mode grants cash prizes to unlock licensed cars and motorcycles, with comprehensive performance tuning parts available. Event types include standard races, one‑on‑one duels, elimination and demolition brawls across eight global city circuits. Keypad controls and Bluetooth local two‑player multiplayer are supported. Fan‑made Chinese JAR builds circulated domestically and are playable via Java emulators, regarded as a landmark street‑racing classic of the feature‑phone era.

These are the default keys. These keys are fixed by FreeJ2ME; what each one does inside a game is up to the game. There are no on-screen buttons on phones, so you will need a keyboard or a gamepad. This engine has no rebinding menu. Gamepads are detected automatically.
