Worms

Worms is a 2D turn-based artillery strategy game developed by Team17 and published by Ocean Software in 1995, released on DOS, Amiga, PlayStation and other platforms. Players control a team of cartoon worms to battle rival teams on procedurally generated destructible 2D terrain. Each turn you control one worm within a time limit, adjusting firing angle and power while taking wind into account. The game features a huge arsenal of humorous weapons, including bazooka, grenade, holy hand grenade, exploding sheep and ninja rope. Blasts deform the landscape, and shockwaves can knock worms off cliffs for instant elimination. It supports up to four teams, with single-player AI matches and hotseat multiplayer as its highlight. With funny voice acting and cartoon visuals, it blends tactical planning and chaotic fun. It spawned numerous sequels and expansions and stands as an iconic artillery strategy classic.
