Submachine 6: The Edge

Submachine 6: The Edge is a Flash point-and-click puzzle browser game created by Polish indie developer Mateusz Skutnik, released on September 27, 2009. It is the sixth installment of the Submachine series. Following the events of Submachine 5: The Root, the player arrives at the boundary of the Subnet network aboard the mover pod and is captured by the system defense. Your mission is to follow Murtaugh’s instructions to shut down mainframe defense protocols and break through the Submachine firewall. Navigate vertical floors, sewers and mainframe chambers with mouse clicks. Collect inventory items such as connection pod and key card, operate terminals, protocol panels and teleport equipment, solve puzzles including level gates and system protocols, and read documents to learn about the Subnet defense system. It keeps the hand-sketched art style and cold lonely sci-fi atmosphere with more intricate layered map design. Hidden secret tokens are scattered in the map. The ending brings a major plot twist to the franchise. This game is remastered and included in Submachine: Legacy collection.
