Submachine 2: The Lighthouse

Submachine 2: The Lighthouse is a classic Flash point-and-click puzzle browser game created by Polish developer Mateusz Skutnik, released on June 13, 2006. It is the second installment of the Submachine series. Picking up after Submachine 1: The Basement, the player seemingly escapes the underground facility only to be transported to an abandoned mysterious lighthouse. Explore 98 interconnected rooms including lighthouse tower floors, dungeons and sewers to find a way out. Players navigate scenes with mouse clicks, collect inventory items and solve mechanical puzzles involving electric circuits, codes and projection machines. Read scattered notes to uncover the lighthouse keeper’s research about karma portals. The game has no dead ends, so players cannot get permanently stuck. It also contains many hidden secret collectibles. With hand-sketched art style and a lonely, eerie sci-fi atmosphere, it features intricate maze-like level design. It is one of the most iconic escape puzzle games of the Flash era, and later received an HD remastered edition.
