Mahjong G-Taste

Mahjong G‑Taste, also known as G‑taste Mahjong, was developed and published by Psikyo in April 2002 for Japanese arcades. Based on Hiroki Yagami’s manga series G‑Taste, it is a rare non‑shooter title from Psikyo. It later received a PlayStation 2 port in 2003, and was released exclusively for the Japanese market with no official overseas localization. Players compete in one‑on‑one Japanese riichi mahjong matches against various female characters from the original manga. Winning hands earns points to progress through matches and unlock CG artwork illustrated in the manga’s art style, paired with dedicated character voice acting. Powered by SH‑2 arcade hardware, the game features detailed 2D character portraits, original background music and voice clips, following the classic strip‑mahjong arcade format. Despite coming from a studio famous for vertical shoot‑em‑ups, it implements a complete riichi mahjong rule‑set including yaku, riichi and dora mechanics. The arcade version can be emulated via MAME, while the PS2 port contains exclusive bonus content. It remains a well‑recognized manga‑licensed mahjong arcade title from the early‑2000s Japanese arcade scene。

Das sind die Standardtasten. Jedes Arcade-Board hat unterschiedlich viele Tasten und meint Unterschiedliches damit. Oben stehen die Tasten 1–6 des Boards: auf Neo Geo (The King of Fighters und Co.) sind A/B/C/D die Tasten 1–4, Metal Slug nutzt nur 1, 2 und 4 (Schuss / Sprung / Granate), und Pac-Man gar keine. Sechs-Tasten-Prügler mit drei Schlägen und drei Tritten (etwa Street Fighter II) bekommen vom Kern ein anderes Layout: leichter Schlag U, mittlerer Schlag I, schwerer Schlag Q, leichter Tritt J, mittlerer Tritt K, schwerer Tritt E. Klicke im Player auf das Gamepad-Symbol 🎮 und dann auf „Tasten belegen“, um die Tastenbelegung des Emulators zu öffnen (Tastatur und Gamepad, wird automatisch gespeichert). Gamepads werden automatisch erkannt. Auf dem Handy bekommst du Bildschirmtasten.
