Hatsune Miku: Project DIVA

Hatsune Miku: Project DIVA is a rhythm game co-developed by Sega and Crypton Future Media, released for PSP on July 2, 2009. It is the first entry in the Project DIVA franchise and Hatsune Miku’s debut official video game. Notes fly toward button icons on screen, players press PSP buttons and directional keys in sync with Vocaloid music. Judgement ratings include COOL, FINE, SAFE, SAD and WORST. Accurate hits build combos and keep the virtual stage performance running. It features famous Vocaloid songs from NicoNico, including World is Mine and Ievan Polkka. Playable characters are Hatsune Miku, Kagamine Rin and Kagamine Len. There is a Miku’s Room mode: unlock costumes, accessories and furniture to customize Miku and decorate the room. A PV editor allows players to adjust camera angles and visual effects. The companion PS3 title Dreamy Theater connects with PSP to render high-definition performances. This game laid the foundation for the whole Project DIVA series and greatly popularized Vocaloid culture.
