Fatal Fury 3: Road to the Final Victory
About this game
Fatal Fury 3: Road to the Final Victory (Japanese: Garou Densetsu 3: Harukanaru Tatakai) is SNK’s 2D fighting arcade title released March 27,1995 for Neo‑Geo MVS hardware. It brings massive system overhauls to the Fatal Fury franchise, centered on the plot of the ancient Qin Secret Scrolls and the dramatic return of Geese Howard. The classic two‑plane battle evolves into the three‑lane Over‑Sway system for evasive positional play, though special moves and jumps are disabled while on side lanes. New mechanics include combo arts, air‑guard and variable high/low jumps. Alongside desperation moves, the game introduces powerful hidden Potential Ability techniques with strict HP trigger conditions. The playable roster contains 10 fighters: returning classics Terry, Andy, Joe and Mai join five brand‑new characters including Blue Mary, Hon‑Fu and Bob Wilson. Ryuji Yamazaki acts as mid‑boss, twin Jin brothers serve as final bosses and Geese Howard appears as secret story boss. Multiple endings are determined by player battle rank with maximum rank S. Ported widely to home consoles, it can be emulated via MAME and marks a pivotal experimental turning‑point for SNK’s fighting‑game design。

Controls
These are the default keys. Every arcade board has a different number of buttons and means different things by them. The rows above are buttons 1–6 on the board: on Neo Geo boards (The King of Fighters and friends) A/B/C/D are buttons 1–4, Metal Slug uses only 1, 2 and 4 (shoot / jump / grenade), and Pac-Man uses none at all. Six-button fighters with three punches and three kicks (Street Fighter II and the like) get a different layout from the core: light punch U, medium punch I, heavy punch Q, light kick J, medium kick K, heavy kick E. Click the gamepad icon 🎮 in the player toolbar, then “Remap keys” to open the emulator’s own control settings (keyboard and gamepad, saved automatically). Gamepads are detected automatically. On phones you get on-screen buttons.
