About this game

Counter-Strike 1.6 (CS1.6) is a tactical first-person shooter released by Valve in 2003, powered by the GoldSrc engine and evolved from a Half-Life mod. Players are split into two teams: Counter-Terrorists and Terrorists. Matches are round-based; players who die in a round cannot respawn until the next round. Main game modes include bomb defusal and hostage rescue. Players earn money based on round performance to buy weapons, armor and grenades. This version added Galil and FAMAS, adjusted weapon recoil and balance, and includes legendary maps like Dust2, Nuke and Office. CS1.6 laid the foundation of modern esports. Thanks to low hardware requirements and massive community servers and mods, it still retains many nostalgic players.
