Pokémon Green

Pokémon Green is the original classic Pokémon role-playing game developed by Game Freak and published by Nintendo in 1996 for the Game Boy platform. Released exclusively in Japan alongside Pokémon Red, it is the founding work of the entire Pokémon franchise. It established the core gameplay of Pokémon catching, training, battling and trading, laying the foundation for all subsequent Pokémon games and becoming an iconic vintage handheld game classic. Set in the classic Kanto region, the game starts the player’s journey from Pallet Town.
