Super Street Fighter II Turbo

Super Street Fighter II Turbo (often shortened to Super Turbo, known in Japan as Super Street Fighter II X) is an arcade fighting game released by Capcom in 1994 on the CPS2 arcade board. It is the final official revision of the Street Fighter II series. Built upon Super Street Fighter II: The New Challengers, it retains all 16 original fighters and introduces Akuma as a secret playable character, marking Akuma’s debut in the Street Fighter franchise. The landmark addition is the Super Combo system. Players build a super gauge by landing attacks, then unleash powerful super moves once the gauge is full. New mechanics such as tech throws and aerial combos were implemented. Capcom reworked move frames, stun values and character balance across the entire roster, plus adjustable game speed settings. When players meet specific requirements in single-player mode, Akuma will replace M.Bison and appear as a secret boss. The game keeps the iconic six-button fighting layout. The base roster of 16 fighters includes Ryu, Ken, Chun-Li, Cammy, Fei Long and other legendary combatants. As the definitive culmination of the Street Fighter II saga, it features mature gameplay and incredible competitive depth. It is still widely played in retro fighting game tournaments worldwide. It was later ported to PS, Saturn, 3DO, Dreamcast and included in Street Fighter 30th Anniversary Collection, regarded as a legendary classic in competitive fighting game history.
