About this game

The Settlers II, released by Blue Byte in 1996, is a classic city-building real-time strategy game, also known as The Settlers II: Return to Rome. It refined the core road-and-flag resource transport system from the first game. Players plan road networks and buildings, while settlers automatically perform logging, mining, farming and cargo delivery. The game features four civilizations including Romans, Vikings, Nubians and Japanese, with more than 50 types of buildings and jobs. Players build complete supply chains, craft weapons and train soldiers to expand territory by capturing outposts. Its campaign tells a story of shipwrecked settlers travelling through portals to find their way home. It is the most beloved entry of the series, later released as Gold Edition and 10th Anniversary remake.
