Paranoid is a 1993 MS‑DOS shareware breakout‑style brick‑bashing game developed by The Bit Bucket Brothers. Control your paddle to bounce balls and destroy all bricks on‑screen to finish each level. Paddle movement is controlled only via shift keys; mouse input is not supported. It contains 30 built‑in levels plus wide range of positive and negative power‑ups: multi‑ball, sticky paddle, cannon, shrink‑paddle and more. Rendered in EGA 16‑color graphics with PC‑speaker sound effects, the game executable is extremely compact. Registered version unlocks bonus levels and built‑in level editor. A tough, lightweight breakout clone frequently found on vintage floppy‑disk shareware collections。

These games get the keyboard directly — the controls are whatever the game itself defines, usually in its own help or options screen. Gamepads are detected automatically. On phones you get on-screen buttons.
