About this game

Madness: Project Nexus Classic is a classic Flash side-scrolling action shooter created by Krinkels and The-Swain, released on Newgrounds in 2012, set within the Madness Combat universe. The story takes place in Nevada, featuring two main game modes: Story Mode and Arena Mode. In Story Mode, players control iconic characters including Hank, Sanford and Deimos to infiltrate the Nexus Core facility and battle hordes of clone soldiers. Arena Mode is a character progression system where you customize your own agent, complete combat trials to level up and unlock firearms, melee weapons and armor. The game uses the series’ signature monochrome stickman art style. Combine hand-to-hand combat, gunfights and roll dodging, pick up knives, pistols, rifles and many other weapons for fast brutal battles. It is the most famous Flash game of Madness Combat franchise and the prototype of the later Steam MADNESS: Project Nexus, hugely popular in stickman game communities.
