About this game

Dad 'n Me, widely known in China as Beat Up the Kids, is a hand-drawn side-scrolling beat 'em up Flash game created by Tom Fulp and Dan Paladin, the creators of Alien Hominid and Castle Crashers. Released in 2005 on Newgrounds, it won IGF award for best web game. Players control a purple masked kid dropped off by his chainsaw-wielding father at Almonds Hands Park. Fight through playgrounds and streets to defeat all opponents in one long continuous stage. Mix light and heavy punches for combos, grab and throw enemies, and use interactive props like trash cans, lawnmowers and explosive gas cans. Build up combo counter and rage meter; full rage triggers a powerful berserk state with faster movement and attacks. Enemies include athletes, ninjas and gang kids, with a fun soccer minigame in the middle. It features distinctive hand-drawn cartoon art style. The original Flash SWF can be played via Ruffle emulator, one of the most iconic Flash brawlers of all time.
