About this game

Fallout J2ME (also known as Fallout Mobile or Fallout 0 by fans) is a fan-made RPG for J2ME Java feature phones. It is not an official Bethesda title. It supports Nokia S40, Sony Ericsson and other old color-screen Java phones, with JAR packages for multiple screen resolutions including 128×160 and 176×220. Based on the Fallout universe from the PC classic, the story follows the sole survivor of Vault 7, who leaves the underground bunker to survive in the nuclear wasteland. It uses top-down 2D pixel graphics and keypad controls with turn-based combat. The original SPECIAL stat system is simplified. It keeps wasteland exploration, looting supplies, collecting weapons and medicine, and conversations with wasteland NPCs. Players fight raiders and mutated creatures in ruined towns and wilderness, manage survival resources and make story choices. Due to hardware limits of J2ME devices, maps and texts are heavily trimmed, while the iconic post-apocalyptic atmosphere of Fallout is preserved. It was shared widely on overseas Java mobile communities and among Chinese retro J2ME fans. Today you can run the JAR file via J2ME emulators. It is a famous Fallout fan-made RPG of the feature phone era.
