About this game
Boku no Natsuyasumi Portable: Mushi Mushi Hakase to Teppen-yama no Himitsu!! is a relaxing simulation adventure game for PSP, developed by Millennium Kitchen and published by Sony Computer Entertainment, released on June 29, 2006. It is an enhanced remake of the original PS1 Boku no Natsuyasumi. Set in rural Japan in 1975, the 9-year-old protagonist Boku spends one month of summer vacation at his uncle’s countryside home while his mother prepares for childbirth. There is no game over condition. Players freely enjoy rural summer life: catching bugs, making insect specimens, fishing, exploring caves, keeping a diary and interacting with local villagers. This version expands insects to 128 species, adds new characters and storylines, and supports PSP wireless communication to trade insects with friends. Different daily choices trigger unique events and lead to multiple endings, with warm art style and nostalgic summer vibes.
