Marvel Super Heroes vs Street Fighter
Über dieses Spiel
Marvel Super Heroes vs Street Fighter (MSHVSF) is a fast tag-team crossover fighting game developed by Capcom and released for CPS2 arcade hardware in 1997. It is the second main entry of the Marvel vs. Capcom franchise, following X-Men vs Street Fighter. It introduced the groundbreaking **Cross-Over Assist** system that became the foundation of all later Marvel vs Capcom games. Players pick two fighters to form a team. You can switch characters mid-battle. Win by defeating both enemy fighters before your whole team is down. It retains the signature air-combo gameplay with a six-button layout: light/medium/heavy punch and kick. Players can super jump, air dash and chain aerial combos. Fill the super gauge to unleash spectacular team Cross-Over Arts dual supers. The landmark Assist mechanic lets you summon your secondary character for a brief attack to extend combos or lock down opponents. This assist system defined the entire MvC series. Playable roster includes Marvel icons: Spider-Man, Hulk, Captain America, Wolverine, Magneto. Street Fighter cast features Ryu, Ken, Chun-Li, Zangief and Guile. Secret hidden fighters include Dark Sakura, Mech Zangief and Shadow Lady. The arcade final boss is **Cyber-Akuma**, an overpowered mechanized Akuma with devastating attacks. The Japanese release has an exclusive joke character Norimaro unavailable overseas. Game modes include single-player arcade and two-player versus. It features vibrant comic-book pixel art, flashy visual effects and energetic soundtrack. It was later ported to Sega Saturn and PlayStation. The Saturn version with 4MB RAM expansion achieves nearly arcade-perfect quality, while the PS1 port removed real-time tag switching due to memory limits. It was hugely popular in Chinese arcades. Its fast aerial combat and assist combo system offer deep creative strategies, making it a legendary CPS2 crossover fighter.
