In the city, Meg teams up with surviving scientist Octavio Sanchez to infiltrate Donovan’s corporate skyscraper. Meg uncovers the shocking truth: Shelley, lead researcher of the X‑Creatures Project, is Steppenwolf’s long‑missing wife. Meg is captured by Donovan after her cover is blown.
