Heroes of Might and Magic: A Strategic Quest, released 1995 for MS‑DOS by New World Computing, is the very first title of the Heroes franchise, a spin‑off from the Might and Magic RPG series. Four powerful factions wage war for total dominion over the continent of Enroth. Players command hero characters leading armies to explore the world map, seize resource sites, construct fortresses and fight turn‑based battles on hex‑shaped combat grids.
