About this game

Anarchy 2087 (known as 动荡 2087 among Chinese J2ME retro game fans) is a real-time strategy mobile game developed and published by HandyGames in 2007 for J2ME feature phones, compatible with Nokia, Sony Ericsson and other old color-screen Java phones. A Gold enhanced edition was released later. Set in year 2087, global warming raises sea levels and floods most parts of Europe. Civilization collapses, and surviving humans fight for scarce resources on newly formed islands. The European Crisis Staff can no longer keep order, and freedom fighter factions emerge. As the faction leader, players build bases, gather resources, construct barracks and train combat units including infantry and armored vehicles. Command your army to seize island territories and defeat rival factions. It is a keypad-controlled RTS game with map zoom and unit grouping functions, featuring a full campaign. It simplifies complex PC RTS controls to fit the limits of old mobile hardware, with top-down 2D pixel graphics. It is one of the few fully-fledged real-time strategy games on J2ME platform, very popular in the Chinese Java mobile gaming community. It can be played today on J2ME emulators by loading the JAR file.
