Asphalt3: Street Rules

Asphalt 3: Street Rules is Gameloft’s arcade racing title released in 2006 for J2ME feature phones, the third mainline entry in the Asphalt franchise and the title that established the series’ underground street‑racing identity. It exists in two separate builds: a 2D version for mid‑to‑low‑end Java phones and a 3D version for high‑end hardware, with differing car rosters, tracks and event content. Players earn nitro by drifting, performing stunts and taking down rival vehicles, with multi‑stage nitro bursts available. The iconic police‑wanted pursuit system returns; reckless driving raises wanted levels and triggers police roadblocks, while getting busted ends the race. Career mode starts with entry‑level cars and unlocks licensed supercars and motorcycles including Lamborghini, Pagani and Nissan GT‑R, with performance upgrades available. Event types include standard races, one‑on‑one duels, demolition brawls, cop‑chase missions and bounty challenges across multiple global city circuits. Keypad controls and Bluetooth local multiplayer are supported. Fan‑made Chinese JAR builds circulated widely domestically and are playable via Java emulators, serving as a racing‑genre introduction for many feature‑phone‑era players.
